It was a tough day to be a big black dog. A nearby city hosted a Dog Fest today, and we took Murphy there to join in on the fun. Well, after about 20 minutes of running around in the 88 degree humid weather, Murphy pooped out. He crawled under a table in the shade and drank about a quart of water. Turns out he picked the table hosted by a local veterinary clinic. Just to be safe, they took his temperature. Poor Murph was overheated at 105 degrees and had to be given some IV fluids to cool down. He's fine now, and home lying on the nice cool kitchen floor in the air conditioning.
