Your Suggestions, Please

I am taking some time off of work over the holidays, and plan to spend some of it tidying up around here. I'm seeking your suggestions for the site. Here's what's on my to-do list so far:

* Replace 2 column design with 3 columns to allow more side-bar visibility.
* New color scheme (suggestions welcome).
* Spiffy new navigation menus.
* New section - McGear: Recommended Pocket PC hardware, software, accessories and e-books.
* New desktop wallpaper gallery.
* My portfolio (for those seeking custom web graphics).
* Update the "about" page.
* Scrolling Pocket PC newswire content on home page.
* Link exchange.
* Fun contests (suggestions welcome).

Yikes! That was scary. I didn't realize how much there was to do until I started listing it all. Guess I had better get busy. Your suggestions are important to me, so let's hear some ideas!

I think that's a good idea.
What about creating a category of cartoons and comics...some of these would be great:

Casper the friendly ghost
The Pink Panther
Snoopy
Betty Boop
Archie
Little Lulu
Dennis the Menace
The Lockhorns
Bringing Up Father
Woody Woodpecker
Hammerjaw and the Neptunes
Barney
Elmo
Kermitt
Big Bird
Ernie and Rubber Ducky
Beetle Bailey
Blondie
Ziggy

Deb,

I would find it very worthy if there was a nice Best PocketPC software use type listing, sorta like the top 25 or so..

I find that lacking on most PocketPC sites.

DR

BTW I am still using that custom made Dashboard theme you made a few years back for me.

Debbie
It is hard to believe that you would want to change one of the most popular sites on the net. I have sent so many people to your site as I'm always getting compliments on the skins I use that you have designed. Enjoy your time off and have a wonderful vacation. Treat yourself to a new Pocket PC smile

One suggestion would be to share what you have on your pocket pc. People are always interested in what the experts havesmile

Thanks for the suggestions and kind comments. We must have had a little glitch here. Comments from the last day or so did not post until tonight. I think I found the problem.

I like the idea regarding top software choices. I'll find a way to incorporate that for sure.

As far as cartoons, I have to be a little careful there. I've managed to actually get permission for some cartoons, but not others. It would really suck to be sued by Woody Woodpecker. lol I notice that you put Ziggy on your list. Now, that's a great one! As a matter of fact, I met the creator of Ziggy, Tom Wilson, a couple of times. I have an original signed Ziggy drawing. From 1986 to 1992 I worked as a police dispatcher and jailer in a Cleveland suburb. I met Tom Wilson at our PD and he amazed me by drawing me a Ziggy wearing a radio headset. He even added Ziggy's little dog standing along side a police car saying "ten-four Deb!" I still have it. Trivia question for you Ziggy fans: What is the name of Ziggy's little dog friend? I can't seem to think of it.
