Applian Technologies announces WM Recorder, a new utility that captures streaming Video and Audio in Windows Media format for playback on a Pocket PC.

WM Recorder can record almost any Windows Media streaming content, and save it as ASF files. You can copy these to your Pocket PC, and enjoy music, music videos, corporate webcasts, sports videos, and any other kind of video or audio. You can make recordings from most subscription services as well.

WM Recorder operates as a PC-based application. Using it is
easy: You just open WM Recorder, click Record, and then play the videos or audio you want to record. Files are saved on your PC automatically, and will play on any Pocket PC with Windows Media Player installed on it. As long as the video is not protected by Digital Rights Management, you can play it anywhere without an active Internet connection.
