Snow Dudes Theme and Wallpaper Set & Mom Update

Thanks once again for all of the comments, prayers and email messages of support for my Mom. She is still pretty sick. Mom has been on a ventilator now for 12 days. Just when it looked like Mom was getting a little better, her temperature went back up to 104 and her kidneys have failed. She's on dialysis to handle the kidney issue and they are trying to control her fevers. We still have no idea what type of infection she has, so it's very frustrating. Mom remains sedated, so hopefully she will not remember all of this WHEN she gets better. Now, if they could only give ME something to forget it as well. My two aunts (Mom's sisters) are here from Florida to help out, and it's been great to have them around.

I know that site updates have been slow, and I'm way behind on custom orders, so thank you all for your patience. I've been at the hospital every day since this all started on November 20th. I've taken a lot of time off of work (the real job) as well. Eventually, I'm going to have to start getting back to work, but it's too hard to be away from Mom yet. Once we turn a corner and she can come off the ventilator and get a little stronger, I will be able to start getting other things done.

Since I've not had much time to make anything new, here's a replay of one of my favorites from last Christmas season:

I wish there was something more that I could do to help you other than to just hope and pray. I wish I could do your custom orders or something! You know that we will still be there when your Mom gets well and all is back on an even keel. And, yes, it will probably take you longer to recover than it will her!!! Are you sleeping at all? It really is not a crime to ask for something for your nerves, if you need it. (Sorry, I'm a nurse from way back.) You have to take care of you, too. I'm glad your aunts are there with you. Take care and a lot of prayers are going up there for all of you.

Thank you Margarette. The hope and prayers are plenty. We will certainly take them.

McDeb,

Don't worry about your site, as I know all of your fans are more than understanding... My prayers will continue to be with you and your family for a speedy recovery, as many of us know how hard it is to deal with a mother who is sick; when you can be forced to think about one of the most unpleasant things that can happen in this world. God Bless You & Your Family.

Hi Debbie

Your site will still be up and running when your mom gets better. It isn't going anywhere. Please remember all of us are praying for you and your family. I know your prayers will be answered and you will have a wonderful Christmas with your mom and family. Take care of yourself along with your mom and family.

A little piece of good news. Mom is more alert today. She has opened her eyes, can squeeze a hand and even smile! Her kidney function is much better as well. Little baby steps in the right direction. smile We are not out of the woods yet, but we are starting to see some very good signs.

Thank you everyone.

Thanks for the update on your Mom. Every little positive step is another step towards her recovery.. I guess you were overwhelmed to get a response from her after the past few days. I'm so pleased, and hope you keep getting more positive signs as the days go on. We're all with you and your family! Ken

Wow! After your message yesterday, I was almost afraid to go to your website today. I was so happy to read that mom opened her eyes and smiled That's great news! These moms are so prescious. My mother is 82, and seems to be very healthy, but you never know what might happen at that age. Take care, Deb, and try to get some rest for when you bring mom home!!
