McMom is HOME!

After three long months in the hospital, my Mom is finally HOME! Many of you have sent kind words of encouragement during this stressful time, and I appreciate them all. For those of you wondering what I'm rambling about here, you can read the details in the archives.

Physical therapy has worked wonders in re-gaining Mom's muscle strength. She can now walk with a walker a little and she's getting stronger every day. It's great to have her home again. I'm staying with her for a week or so to help get everyone into a routine. So far, so good. It's just amazing to see how far she has come. Mom has surpirsed all of us with her determination, faith and strong will. She beat all of the odds, and I know that we will have her here with us for many years to come. smile

There are so many people to thank, I doubt I could name them all. But, I must say that I have a whole new respect for the medical profession. Especially the nursing staff in the CCU. True professionals with kind hearts and sharp minds. When Mom is walking well enough, we plan to return to the Critical Care Unit to let them see the result of their hard work. But, no more hospital food! We've had enough of that to last a lifetime.

Thanks again everyone.
