Site Updates May Be Sparse For A Bit
Many of you will remember the long ordeal our family endured during my Mother's illness this past winter. She was recovering very well and doing great until last weekend. Mom is once again in very critical condition in the intensive care unit. And, just like last time, the doctors have no idea what is causing her respiratory failure, kidney failure, and raging infection.
I ask for your patience while I spend most of my time at the Cleveland Clinic (about 4 hours from home) to be with Mom and my family. I'll update the site and return all of your emails as soon as possible.
Posted by at 7:53 PMAs always, family must come first. I am positive everyone that visits your site wishes your mother all the best and prayers for a speedy recovery. Update us about your mother but the rest can wait.

Thanks for the kind comments. I've driven back home to Cincinnati to grab some clothes and take care of a few things. So, I thought I'd take a second to respond here. Mom is still very critical but she's hanging in there. This is a repeat of the same nightmare we went through this past winter. It's so frustrating because she had almost completely recovered. She was walking again and was even dancing in the kitchen just a couple of weeks ago on Mother's Day. I never dreamed we would be back in the ICU, on a ventilator and struggling for every breath. But,we just have to press on and deal with it. Mom is only 61 and until all of this she has always been active and healthy.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

I was wondering why I had not received an update notification for a while. I'm so sorry to hear that you mother is back in intensive care again. They've got some excellent physicians at Cleveland Clinic, and I'm sure she'll get the best care possible. Meanwhile, take care of yourself and the rest of your family. We'll all be praying for your mom and you.
