An Update and A Little Thank You Gift
Some of you have noticed that my updates to Pocket McDeb have not been occurring as regularly as you've been accustomed to over the years. I have some excuses, but you won't find most of them to be very exciting. So...hopefully you'll accept that I've just been crazy-nuts busy these days. Plus, some technical difficulties with the site have not helped matters much. Still having troubles on that end. Categories are not working properly and I have to re-build the entire site whenever I post a new entry. Seems that MT, MySQL and cPanel are not playing nicely together at the moment.
I'm very much aware of the fact that we have some truly loyal visitors to Pocket McDeb. Many of you have been hanging out here since 2001 when this site first came to be. I try my best to never to take you for granted. Even if I should disappear for a little while, you keep coming back. I'm sure you've figured out by now that this site lives on no matter what direction life seems to take me. It will always be one of my favorite things to do. So thanks for hanging in there with me.
I guess it's time to give you all a brief update on recent happenings in my geek world. In April of this year, I put aside my long-lived career in labor relations to pursue other avenues. I'm happy to report that I'm having a ball! My long-time favorite graphic design client made me an offer that I just could not refuse. So, since April I've been working full-time for Applian Technologies in the position of Technology and Design Specialist. Our projects have been exciting, challenging and a lot of fun. I'm really enjoying myself and learning a lot. I'm lucky to be working for two of the greatest guys in the industry. They give me the creative license that I crave, and the confidence and support that makes working for a living a pleasure rather than a chore. (Thanks Bill and Tom).
In the past few months we've managed to design and launch the new Applian web site to showcase all of our awesome recording products in one appealing environment. And, we've released Replay Radio 6 along with the most extensive online Media Guide available anywhere. I'm very proud to have been involved in the design of both.
Now...gifts for you: Available exclusively to visitors of Pocket McDeb, I'm happy to offer a $10 price break for both Replay Radio 6 and/or Replay Music.

If you're not familiar with Replay Radio or Replay Music, I'll fill you in. I've been using both products since they were first released quite some time ago. I use Replay Radio to record my favorite talk radio shows, and transfer them to my iPod to listen whenever I like. And now with version 6 it's a great podcast client too. I've used Replay Music to legally build a huge personal music library. As a Rhapsody subscriber, I use Replay Music to record hundreds of albums and save the files as high quality MP3's. What's cool about Replay Music is its ability to automatically split and tag each track as it records. There are demos of both Replay Radio and Replay Music available if you'd like to try before you buy.
Even though this post may sound like one big advertisement for the company that I'm proud to work for, it's actually a special offer of thanks for all of you who have been so patient while Pocket McDeb updates have been a little sparse. I really appreciate that you've hung in there with me.
New themes soon. I've got a few in the works.

My work colleagues and I have missed you, but I am thrilled to know that you're so happy in your new job. Good luck. Despite not seeing so much McD stuff, I'd like to say thanks for all that you've done to brighten our days!

Hi Deb! It's was good to get your update notification today. I'm happy you love your new job, and that you'll still be updating www.mcdeb.com. I'll have to try these products. I've always been happy with the Applian products I've used in the past.
