How do I install Pocket PC themes?

First, you must be running a Pocket PC 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003 device. Theme installation is very easy. Follow the graphical installation guide provided HERE.

What does VGA, QVGA and Standard mean? Which one should I download?

Standard: For all Pocket PC devices running Pocket PC 2002 or WM2003. No landscape.

VGA: For VGA Pocket PC devices running WM2003 SE or newer. Includes landscape.

QVGA: For non-VGA Pocket PC devices running WM2003 SE or newer. Includes landscape.

What is that battery level icon on the titlebar of your screenshots, and where can I get it?

It's not real. All screenshots are taken from the theme developing app on my desktop PC, not the Pocket PC. The battery icon is supposed to simulate the icon that appears on your device during a low battery warning.

Can I upload themes to your site?

Sorry. All of the themes, skins and wallpapers on this site are my own original designs. I may consider submissions some day. But, send me your work, I'd love to see it!

What is Dashboard and where can I get it?

Why do you link some of your theme files to other sites? Why not host them all here?

Excellent question! My older themes were uploaded to three different sites and took turns with the links. PocketThemes.com, PocketPC Themes, and pocketnow are wonderful additions to the Pocket PC community. I believe strongly in the benefits of collaboration with other sites. Pocket McDeb was never designed to be a competitor. Building friendly alliances makes us all a little stronger and provides the visitor with more resources.

What graphics software do you use?

I am a big fan of Ulead PhotoImpact. What??? No PhotoShop?? Oh, the humanity!! That's right. I very rarely use PhotoShop. I've just never found it as comfortable for me as PhotoImpact. I also use Corel Draw and Macromedia Fireworks MX on occasion.

What theme-building software do you use?

Why the software store, theme packs and advertisements? Shouldn't EVERYTHING be free?
