Great news! Thememaker McDeb has been updated to version 4.1. Now with support for WM5 and square screen themes. Still only $18.00.

Seabreeze 3 - Updated for VGA (01:32PM)

I finally got around to updating Seabreeze for VGA. Seabreeze has been a long time favorite. I'll work on editing the desktop wallpaper version for widescreen. Look for that soon. I have to admit I felt a tad nostalgic working with this old favorite. It was one of my first all-original designs and I've always been really pleased with it.

Spring Tulips (01:07AM)

It's cold and snowy here today. The calendar says it's the first day of spring. Someone needs to inform Mother Nature. Maybe these spring tulips will warm things up a bit. smile

Thank you, Deb. We have such crazy weather in Colorado. My tulips, some of which were blooming (the last time I saw them) are under about six inches of snow right now!! I've really missed your themes, and I'm so happy you're making us some new ones. My all-time favorite is Restless Heart.

:: Elaine March 22, 2006 1:44 AM

Of course Restless Heart comes after my all time favorite, favorite theme, my little cocker spaniel, "Anna's" theme.

:: Elaine March 22, 2006 1:51 AM

Hi Deb!
Always happy to see a new theme :-)

Here in Vermont, the Cancadian Geese are back (honking loudly, I might add) and my tulips are about 3.5" out of the ground. Did I mention that it's snowing outright now? LOL

As usual ... keep up the great job!!
Hugs-

Fixed Broken Stuff (01:17PM)

I finally got around to repairing some of the broken stuff around here. Comments and security code are now working properly. I had to temporarily enable comment moderation while I fixed this. My poor site received 500 blog comment spam messages in less than 24 hours! eek

Sorry for the little dry-spell of new Pocket PC themes and desktop wallpapers. Posted a few new themes recently, but I really need to find some time to make some new wallpapers. I miss designing those. Once I get caught up with the "real job" I'll try to make some play time for new designs. Ideas and requests welcome.

Some Sad News (05:46PM)

Hi all,

I've received a few email messages from regular visitors wondering why I have not posted my usual montage of new holiday themes. I guess I should tell you why. Those of you who have been around here a while will remember the posts regarding my Mother's health during the past couple of years. Lately she had been doing really well and was busy enjoying life. I'm sad to report that Mom experienced a very sudden relapse on November 1st. She passed away on November 12th. My Mom was only 62 years old. She was my best friend. I will miss her dearly.

Due to everything that happened with Mom, and the fact that I underwent some surgery myself (nothing serious), I've not been up to doing much with the site. I'm back to work now and hope to have some time to bring you a few new holiday themes as well. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

If your own Mother is close by, give her a hug and let her know you're glad she's there. Moms are special.

Debbie
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I recently lost my father too with cancer. He was the same age as your mom and would have been 63 on Nov 11th. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. xxxxxxxxx

:: Pam December 9, 2005 10:36 AM

My prayers are with you Deb. Sorry to hear about your Mom.

:: gork December 9, 2005 10:49 AM

Dearest Deb, You have my sincere sympathy and are in my prayers. I understand how difficult this is as my mother left us Dec 2, 1999. Death is never easily accepted and is made less so when it occurs near a family orientated holiday. May you and your family find acceptance and peace of spirit.

:: Margo December 10, 2005 11:02 AM

this is my first visit to your site and noticed your message about your mom. Very sorry as well to hear about her passing away. My father was 65 when he passed away. It's exactly 3 years past now. My condolences to you and your family.

I'm very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. My father died in 1983 at the age of 62 from leukemia; I was 33. In 2000, my mother passed away at 76; I turned 50 two months later. I learned too late that my father had been my best friend all along, even though for a time I perceived him as an adversary.

Your times with your mother as "best friends" are the moments of which eternity is made -- and cherished. Bodies and emotions realize distance and absence; hearts in whom dwell truth know neither.

Although it feels lonely being the "end of the chain," somehow I still feel very connected to both of my parents. Therein is at least some measure of rest.

As you work through your times of adjusting in the days ahead, I hope for you peace and rest to savor the good -- and plenty of tissues to absorb the outward experiences thereof!

Joe

:: Joe Hammond January 24, 2006 4:11 PM

Joe,

Thank you for taking the time to write such beautiful words. Means a lot to me.

:: McDeb January 25, 2006 2:27 PM

I am saddened to read about your mother's passing. My heartfelt condolences.

(I was a regular visitor to your site before my PDA went on permanent hiatus, which was some time ago!)

Though I only know you through your posts, I am still comfortable saying that you should have no regrets - you were always there for your mother, and I am certain she knew the depth of your love for her.

Be well! - KPM
